Language and speech disorders are often caused by issues that disrupt their functions, such as hearing impairment, as seen regarding the instance of deaf children. The approach to language learning for deaf children should focus on the fundamentals of language and communication. The implementation of the Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) method can assist them in paying attention and maintaining eye contact when therapists provide instructions, thereby stimulating their speech abilities. The point of this examination is to look into and evaluate the effects of the ABA method on the discourse capacities of hard of deaf children. This study employs quantitative research with a pre-trial plan, explicitly a one-bunch pretest-posttest plan. Six children constitute the sample at the Anton Clinic in Lawang Subdistrict, Malang Regency, who meet the sample criteria. The ABA method is the independent variable, and speech ability is the dependent variable. Data processing includes editing, scoring, tabulating, and Wilcoxon sign rank test analysis, documentation and observation are two methods used in data collecting. Results before the application of the ABA method showed none (0%) met the criteria for good speech; the majority exhibited "poor" (83.3%) and "sufficient" (16.7%) speech abilities. After applying the ABA method, most respondents showed "sufficient" (83.3%) and "good" (16.7%) speech abilities. Statistical analysis using the Wilcoxon sign position test produced a p-value of 0.000 < α=0.05, proving that H1 was accepted. Speech abilities after the ABA method demonstrated a significant influence. In conclusion, this research confirms the impact of the effects of the ABA approach on deaf children's speaking abilities at the Anton Clinic in Lawang Subdistrict, Malang Regency. The ABA method can be considered a stimulation to enhance speech abilities and can serve as supplementary education applicable in both school and home settings.
