Alfazuna: Jurnal Pembelajaran Bahasa Arab dan Kebahasaaraban is committed to maintaining the highest standards of academic integrity, research ethics, and publication responsibility. The journal takes allegations of research misconduct seriously and handles all concerns fairly, confidentially, objectively, and in a timely manner, following recognized publication ethics principles and applicable research integrity guidelines.
Research misconduct may occur during the design, conduct, reporting, submission, peer review, or publication of scholarly work. All allegations will be assessed carefully, with due consideration for the rights and responsibilities of the individuals involved.
Research misconduct may include, but is not limited to, the following:
Fabrication: Making up data, research findings, sources, or other research-related information and presenting them as genuine.
Falsification: Manipulating research materials, methods, data, images, or results in a way that misrepresents the research record.
Plagiarism: Using another person's ideas, words, data, or work without appropriate acknowledgment or attribution.
Duplicate or Redundant Publication: Publishing substantially overlapping work without appropriate disclosure or justification.
Authorship Misconduct: Improperly assigning, omitting, or changing authorship, including gift, guest, or ghost authorship.
Citation Manipulation: Inappropriately adding or requesting citations to artificially inflate citation counts or misrepresent scholarly relevance.
Peer Review Misconduct: Manipulating the peer review process, impersonating reviewers, or attempting to improperly influence editorial decisions.
Undisclosed Conflicts of Interest: Failing to disclose financial, professional, personal, or other relationships that could improperly influence the research or its publication.
Research Ethics Violations: Conducting research without required ethical approval or appropriate consent, where applicable.
Misuse of Artificial Intelligence: Using AI tools to fabricate data, references, or research findings, misrepresenting AI-generated content, or failing to disclose AI use when required by the journal's AI Policy.
Honest errors, differences in scholarly interpretation, and legitimate academic disagreements do not automatically constitute research misconduct. Each case will be assessed based on the available evidence and the circumstances involved.
Any individual, including authors, reviewers, editors, readers, researchers, or institutional representatives, may report suspected research misconduct involving a manuscript submitted to or an article published in Alfazuna.
Reports should be submitted to the journal's editorial office through its official contact channels and should include, where possible:
A clear description of the suspected misconduct.
The title, author details, DOI, or other identifying information of the relevant manuscript or publication.
Supporting evidence, such as documents, data, publication links, or specific passages of concern.
The reporter's contact information, if they wish to receive follow-up communication.
Alfazuna encourages reports made in good faith and will assess allegations regardless of the reporter's professional position. Anonymous reports may also be considered when sufficient information is provided to permit a meaningful assessment.
Upon receiving an allegation, the editor-in-chief or a designated editor will conduct an initial assessment to determine whether the concern falls within the journal's responsibility and whether sufficient information is available for further examination.
