Peer Review Process

IJET Peer Review Process Diagram

The diagram above illustrates the peer-review process followed by the Indonesian Journal of English Teaching (IJET). The process includes the following stages:

  1. Author Submits Paper: The author submits a manuscript for consideration.
  2. Journal Checks Author Guidelines: The editorial team verifies formatting and guideline compliance.
  3. EDC Evaluates Sustainability: The Editorial Decision Committee reviews alignment with journal scope and academic rigor.
  4. Associate Editors Assigned: EDC assigned Associate Editors to start the review process
  5. Reviewer Evaluates Paper: The paper is sent to reviewers by Associate Editors for thorough, blind evaluation.
  6. Handling Editor Decides: The handling editor decides whether to proceed to peer review or desk-reject the paper.
  7. Editor Communicates Decision: The final editorial decision is shared with the author (accept, revise, or reject).

This structured peer-review pathway ensures all IJET publications meet international academic standards.
