This edition of the IJET journal presents a collection of research articles addressing contemporary issues in English language education, with particular attention to communicative approaches, technology-enhanced learning, learner psychology, and collaborative strategies. The studies explore the compatibility between Communicative Language Teaching (CLT) and pesantren learning values, the role of mobile applications in supporting EFL learners’ vocabulary acquisition, and the cognitive, affective, social, and contextual factors influencing Indonesian learners’ willingness to communicate in English. Collectively, these studies provide valuable insights into innovative, context-sensitive, and learner-centered approaches to English language teaching and learning, offering practical implications for teachers, researchers, and educational practitioners.
